The most inspiring and consistent thing in my life has always been my love of travel and other cultures. My strongest memories are from the first books I read when I was a young child of foreign lands. Those books spurred a strong desire in me to explore the world with an open mind and heart.  When Emily came to me and wanted to collaborate the first thing I could think of was creating an earring inspired by my love of other cultures and the people who make them so unique and special. My favorite piece of jewelry was a beautiful vintage Fulani earring that had broken years ago. I wanted to recreate that piece in honor of the strong women who designed them and maintain the pride and dignity with which they had.  I hope you love the pieces as much as we do. 💛

Vanilla

This Joseph dress is anything but vanilla in my humble (pie) opinion... and it has big plans this fall for being the scoop of perfect vanilla ice cream at the bottom of a hot fudge sweater sundae. I plan on layering this baby up with all the knits i can find, combat boots and cross body everything. Add a blazer... sure. Wear it with a straw hat.. why not? Is there anything this dress can’t do... it’s basically “super dress”. Fighting fashion crime in the city, saving insta-lives at the beach, and being just damned Incredible if you ask me.  (Somehow a style post turned into a paragraph about sweets and superhero’s... but when ur dealing with THE perfect dress it’s hard to put it in perspective without a few relevant references)

Mersea in Mexico

From the moment you step off the airplane and smell the salty air... to the second your toes touch the sand. Mersea is with you every step of the way as they truly embody the spirit of vacation.  The warm sun on your skin, the ocean breeze blowing through your messy hair and those lazy afternoon siestas.  Travel touches your senses in so many ways, usually making memories that last a lifetime. The most memorable adventures are always the ones that touch your 5 senses in some way, shape or form. From tasting spicy foods in foreign lands, to the smells of a local perfumery or simply listening to the ocean as you fall asleep. But for some there is an unspoken 6th sense... a “Feeling” that takes place when you’re experiencing something special for the first time. The feeling that sweeps over your body and soul in an unmistakable way creating those happy, carefree “Mersea Moments”.  So I would like to say thank you, merci and gracias for all the perfect little moments on each and every journey.
